Dr. Matthew Dang takes pride that his patients are well-informed and educated about their dental health. He will spend the time to ensure that his patients understand their dental health and treatment, by answering any questions, clarifying, and demonstrating. He strongly believes in prevention and conservative dentistry.
A graduate of McMaster University’s Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program with a minor in psychology, Dr. Dang then received his dental training from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. It’s at the University of Toronto, where Dr. Dang was involved as a social coordinator, a member of a dental fraternity, and volunteered in various community outreach programs. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry Alumni Association. He also spent two summers working closely with faculty professors to develop course materials for their curriculum. Dr. Dang was also given the honour to be one of a select group of students chosen to teach pre-clinicals to younger dental students. He also has won awards, including top student in Preventive Dentistry in his third year. Currently, Dr. Dang is a mentor to dental students at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.
Dr. Dang is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Ontario Dental Association, Central Toronto Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
In his spare time, he is an avid volleyball player. He also likes spending his time exploring the city and hiking. He recently bought a tenor saxophone and is excited to learn.
